How to Program a Dish Network Remote

Instructions
Things You'll Need:

* User manual
* Dish remote control

1.
1

Select the "TV" button on the remote. If you have switched to TV mode, the light will flash.
2.
2

Look in the user manual for the section titled "Manufacturer codes for programming the remote." There may be more than one code to try for programming.
3.
3

Press the "Address" button on the remote and use the keypad on the remote to enter the code. If the code is correct, the "Mode" button will flash three times. If the code is correct, you should be able to press the power button and turn off the TV. If the code is wrong, enter the next code. Repeat until you find the correct code.
4.
4

If no codes match your device, press the "Mode" button for the TV, then press the "Address" button until the light starts flashing slowly. Then press the "Power" button, and the light will stop flashing.
5.
5

Use the "Up" and "Down" buttons to search for the correct code. When the remote finds that correct code, the TV will turn off. Press the "Address" button to store the code. If this is a valid code, the light will flash three times.
6.
6

Program the other devices into the remote by following steps 2 through 5 using the "Device" button on the remote. The "Aux" button will require a 0 in front of the code for a TV and a 1 for a VCR and the code. The "TV" and "VCR" buttons do not require those numbers.
